Louisa Beman (Beaman) Young (1815-1850)
7 Feb. 1815–16 May 1850. Born in Livonia, Ontario Co., New York. Daughter of Alvah Beman and Sarah Burtts. Moved to Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio, after Oct. 1835. Left Kirtland for Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, after Apr. 1838. Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, by Aug. 1840. Identified in some sources as a plural wife of Joseph Smith, married on 5 Apr. 1841. Married Brigham Young, 19 Sept. 1844, in Nauvoo. Moved to Winter Quarters, unorganized U.S. territory (later in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), summer 1846. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley; arrived 20-24 Sept. 1848. Died at Salt Lake City.
