Dear Brother,

In reply to your favor of the 22nd instant, asking my counsel respecting your position etc,, I have to say that I think you had better obtain for yourself a farm at Provo, and dispose of your property here and pay off your debts. You cannot make money in any common or ordinary way now, as fast as you can in raising wheat.
