Dear Sir:

Your favor of the 14th instant, in which you inform me that you are in search of the true religion and desire to obtain a copy of the Book of Mormon, has just been received. Your better course to obtain that Book is to send to one of the Elders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York,
by the name of Wm. H. Miles. His address is 117 John St., New York or Box 3957 Post Office, New York City. Any other works that you may wish to peruse to give you a correct idea of our belief and doctrines can also be obtained from him.

We are desirous that our principles should be investigated by all men, and for this we send our Missionaries forth to the people. We know that the fulness of the Everlasting Gospel has been restored to the earth with its gifts and blessings, and the power and authority to administer the ordinances thereof, and of these things we boldly testify in all solemnity

I remain
Yours Truly,

Brigham Young
