President's Office,
G. S. L. City, Jan. 9/65.

Wm. A. Hickman, Esq.

Dear Sir,

Your notes of the 7th and to-day both came duly to hand.

I have no particular objection to your seeing me, and am as willing to see you as I ever have been, as I have no different feelings than I ever had; but I have understood that you use the fact of your having interviews with me to convey wrong impressions to the minds of others. Now, I do have objections to your making capital out of the interviews which I grant you; but call an see me when you are here.

I remain Your Brother,

Brigham Young
