Warren G. Child,
Ogden City,

Dear Brother,

Your favor of Dec. 27th asking counsel respecting the propriety sending for a Threshing Machine, material for a Grist Mill and a few articles of merchandise, has been received.

A Threshing machine would doubtless be good property, if you had it; but, situated as you are in Ogden, I think it would be better for you to apply your means in some other direction than in the building of a Grist Mill. In the selection of a Route, you will have to be governed by circumstances.

Your Brother,

Brigham Young
