Dear Brother:

There is a Sister here by the name of Amanda Hutchins who I have had placed with a good Milliner in town to learn Millinery. She has acquired a pretty good knowledge of that business I believe, and I think that if she were to go into the country somewhere, she would be able to do well for herself now. You are acquainted with her, and my object in writing to you is to know whether you would like to have her come up to your place and live with you.
