Bishop C. W. West,
Ogden City,

Dear Brother:

Your favor of the 9th instant has been received.

Brother Rimmer is at liberty to take a wife. Respecting Wm Lloyd, who joined the Morrisites and has come back and wishes to be baptized, he can be baptized and confirmed and remain in the Church without any more of the ordinances for the present. A sad accident occurred to-day. Robert Daft, the gunsmith was accidentally shot through the heart by a ball from a pistol which was handling to another man. His death was instantaneous. A part of Chas Millard's house fell this morning and over-turned the stoves which set fire to the building. A sick child of five years old -- A little girl, belonging to a family who came in this last fall, was burned in the building.

With love, I remain, Your Brother

Brigham Young
