March 15th, 1865.

Elder Elijah Elmer,
Beaver City, Beaver Co.,

Dear Brother:

Your letter of February 13th, sent up by the hand of Bishop Murdock, came safely to hand. You ask counsel respecting the course which you should pursue in relation to Margaret Lillewhite, who was sealed to you but who left you, and is now anxious to come back to you again.

Your better course will be to let her and her family live by themselves. You can help them and counsel them, and do all you can to assist her in getting along. This you had better do, and keep her away from bad influences and in circumstances where your child can be properly cared for, and brought up as it should be.

With love.
I remain Your Brother, as ever

Brigham Young
