Dear Brother,

By a letter written this morning by Bro. Jesse C. Little, and sent to me by the hand of Bro. T, Mets, I am informed that the Holland brethren stand in need of assistance to enable them to live and sustain themselves until they can raise a crop. This they wish to obtain as a loan, and he asks me to render this assistance to them.

You can assist them; but I would like to know what they want. I do not want orders drawn on me that will embarrass me, and, therefore, would like to know before hand what they want.
