President's Office,
Great Salt Lake City,
March 30th, 1865.

Bishop Wm. Miller,
Provo City,

Dear Brother:

I have just received a letter from a sister by the name of Julia Ingerad, who is now in Provo, respecting the sum of $50, Norwegian money, which she loaned Bishop Rasmus Johnson when he was in Norway, and which she cannot get settled satisfactorily. She has had trouble in trying to collect this sum, having written to him, and, not receiving any reply, she sent a woman to see him, whose expenses amounted to $14. This sum she thinks she ought to have refunded to her, as it was through Brother Johnson's negligence in settling, that she had to pay out this amount. I have written to her and referred her to you.

I wish you to see that the matter is properly cleared up. If he has had her money, let him pay it, and not put her to the trouble of calling upon anybody else for the pay, which she says, he wishes to do.

With love, I remain Your Brother, as ever,

Brigham Young
