A. B. Palmer,
Provo City,

Dear Brother:

Your letter of the 4th instant, informing me that your wife is about to \ leave you, or has left you, and asking me for employment, has just been received. I have no work that I can give you but if you are an industrious blacksmith. you should have no difficulty in getting employment and doing well. If your wife would stay with you, as you state she says she would if you were in a situation to get along, you can easily keep her by doing right and being steady and persevering in your work.

I remain Your Brother,

Brigham Young
