Dear Brother:

I wish you, when you get East, to ascertain what the cost will be of five hundred (500) miles of No. 9 Telegraph Wire, and insulators to erect the Wire with.

I should like you to ascertain also what the expense of shipping this Wire to the mouth of the Colorado River will be, and let me know, as soon as you learn these particulars by Telegraph.
